Our next event arrives on Wednesday, June 4, bringing two Featured Champions (one New Champion, one Champion Rebalance).

Event System Permanent Feature Updates

We have some exciting updates to the Event system this month! Based on your feedback, we're making several Augments permanent features so we can free up space to add even more fun tweaks in future Events. Let's dive in!
  • Boon XP and Extra Benefits (Scales of Tiamat) are now permanent features. You can find details about them here.
  • Worth the Wait is being retired as an Augment. Its core feature - rolling out the second featured Champion on Day 8 - will remain, but the tweak of tier 2+ variants providing an additional chest is going away.
The in-game FAQ has been updated to reflect these system changes, and we're excited about the additional Augment space they open up. Now let's get into the June 2025 Augments!

Dragondown 8 Event Augments

  • Augment 1: Free Rerolls (Returning Augment)
    Description: You gain five free rerolls to use on each set of your Weekly Offers during this event!

  • Augment 2: Golden Weekly Offers (Returning Augment)
    Description: One of your weekly offers will be Golden during this event. Golden offers provide an additional 10% discount! The Golden tag persists when an offer is rerolled.

  • Augment 3: Auto Blacksmith (Returning Augment)
    Description: Event Champions whose recruitment adventure or variants you complete gain common rarity equipment in all slots if they don't already have better. Every tier two or higher event variant completed automatically applies 100 Tiny Blacksmithing Contracts to the variant's Champion's equipment for free!

  • Augment 4: Boon Enhancements (New Augment)
    Description: An additional boon buff at each level increases global damage based on the number of Pigments on Champions in the formation, stacking additively.


Note: Similar to our rollout in May the spotlight blogs for the two Featured Champions will also be spread out, with Hank's tomorrow, May 30th, and Krond's releasing next Friday, June 6th.

This month, we have a set of returning Event Augments, with Boon Rework! and Extra Benefits along with the return of Worth the Wait and Free Rerolls.

Great Modron March 8 Event Augments

  • Augment 1: Boon XP (Returning Augment)
    Description: The boon system has been reworked in this event! Eligible items purchased with Platinum now grant Boon XP, which unlocks Boon Levels. The Boon Level cap has also been removed. Check out April's Augment blog for details.

  • Augment 2: Extra Benefits (Returning Augment)
    Description: When the event ends, you'll earn Scales of Tiamat* based on what you completed within the event. You'll get 250 Scales for every event variant of tier 2 or above that you have completed and 250 Scales for each Boon XP you've obtained.
    *Scales of Tiamat are used in the Legendary Forge to craft Legendary Equipment.

  • Augment 3: Free Rerolls (Returning Augment)
    Description: You gain five free rerolls to use on each set of your Weekly Offers during this event!

  • Augment 4: Worth The Wait (Returning Augment)
    Description: Reworked Champions Yorven will unlock at the start of week two of this event, and completing his tier 2+ variants awards double chests!

Welcome to the Event Augments preview for Festival of Fools!

Our next event arrives on April 2, and despite the name, it's no joke - significant changes are coming to Event Boons as part of the 'Boon XP!' Event Augment, and we are unveiling how players can engage with Flex Champions as we circle around to our first returning 'Events 2.0' event!. Let's take a look!

Events 2.0 Year 2 Update

April's event marks our first returning event since the launch of Events 2.0 in March 2024! Starting with Festival of Fools next week, we have quality-of-life updates coming to Flex Champions aimed at making repeat events more exciting!

Choose Your Path: Resetting or Maintaining Tier Completion

For those of you who were playing last year, you likely have a selection of Champions in each event with some level of progress. Starting with Festival of Fools, if you choose a Flex Champion who already has event tier progress, you will be presented with a choice: You can choose to maintain that progress and pick up where you left off (automatically triggering any Champion Event Buffs you unlocked last year), or you may choose to reset that progress and re-collect Gold Chests and Bonus rewards from Augments as you complete each variant tier again.


Festival of Fools Year 8 Event Augments

  • Augment 1: Boon XP (New Augment)
    Description: The boon system has been reworked in this event! Eligible items purchased with Platinum now grant Boon XP, which unlocks Boon Levels. The Boon Level cap has also been removed.

    When we rolled out Events 2.0 last year, we introduced Event Boons to thank players who can and choose to spend real money on packs related to the latest Event. Event Boons power up your formation with buffs to DPS, Gold Find, Health, Click Damage, and Game Speed for the duration of the event, and the first Boon also allows you to choose an additional Flex Champion to add to the event's roster!

    Normally, you can collect one of four total Event Boons & 25,000 Event Tokens by purchasing an event-eligible pack at 1400 Platinum and above; so packs like Event Offers, new Skin & Feat Packs, new Theme Packs, and Platinum Chest packs for Event Champions of 14 count or higher.

    This month, we've rebuilt the Event Boon system from the ground up based on feedback from players. Instead of collecting an Event Boon per eligible purchase, this month, you can collect a number of Boon XP based on the base Platinum cost of the pack (1 XP per 140 Platinum). The more Boon XP you collect, the more Event Boons you can collect! Not only that, but we've added 6 Platinum Chest Packs to the list of event-eligible packs during this event, AND the Event Tokens per pack also scale up based on the base Platinum cost of the pack!

Today we have introduced a brand new system to Idle Champions: the Apothecary.

The Apothecary allows players to Distill, Enhance, and Brew potions to create the types of potions they want, including a new tier of potions: Legendary Potions!

Welcome to the Apothecary

The new Apothecary system is accessed from the Potion inventory screen and from the Potion Manager. From here you can:
  • Distill existing potions into Potion Reagents and Legendary Vessels. The amount of Potion Reagents gained is based on the rarity of potions.



  • Enhance existing potions to higher rarities, using Potion Reagents and Legendary Vessels.



  • Brew new potions of your choice, using Potion Reagents and Legendary Vessels.



Legendary Potions

Note: Last week we updated the title of the existing Legendary Potions that you can collect when dismantling a legendary piece of equipment to Legendary Equipment Potions. Those potions are different from the Legendary potions we're introducing today.

Legendary Potions are a new type of potion crafted exclusively through the Apothecary using Potion Reagents and Legendary Vessels:
  • Legendary Potions require 1 Legendary Vessel and 1,440 Potion Reagents to craft from scratch.
  • Legendary Potions have larger base effects than Epic Potions but also increase the effect of all active potions by 15%, stacking multiplicatively.
    • The global speed cap remains in place, however, the Legendary Speed Potion has an additional effect: Game Speed Cap +5% per Speed Potion active, stacking additively.
    • With five Legendary Potions active, all Potions effects are roughly doubled.
  • Legendary Potions last for 24 hours and persist through adventure resets. Using additional Legendary Potions adds to the duration.

Everyone who logs into Idle Champions after Noon today, and before Noon PT on March 19th will collect a free Legendary Vessel, as well as 1440 Potion Reagents - enough to brew your first Legendary Potion! Learn more by clicking the Apothecary button in the Potion inventory screen or the Potion Manager. There is a handy overview of Distill/Enhance/Brew costs visible in the FAQ section.

Idle Champions: Shop Updates

Well met, Champions!

We have some shop updates to share as we close 2024 and look forward to 2025.

    New Starter Packs: We recently released new Starter Packs featured on the Platinum page of the in-game shop. Packs include the new Scroll of Champion Summoning, which unlocks one event Champion of your choice along with full uncommon gear, 6 Platinum Champion Chests, and a Golden Epic (if you haven’t already purchased a Chest pack for that Champion). Packs also include bonus Platinum and potions to help you explore and progress!
    Platinum Offers Update: On January 10, 2025, the Double Platinum offers on Platinum Packs will be retired and replaced with a new offer: First-time Platinum Pack purchasers will receive an additional 1500 Platinum with their first Platinum Pack purchase. This new offer will be available to all players who install on or after January 10th, 2025.

If you have been waiting to take advantage of the Double Platinum offer, you still have three weeks before they are retired.

Idle Champions: 2024 End of Year Update

Welcome to our 2024 End of Year Update!

First of all, I'd like to thank everyone for supporting Idle Champions this year through some very big transitions. We started the year with our seventh season in January, rolled out Guide and Collections Quests in February, introduced Events 2.0 in March, and transitioned to Platinum in October. It has been a very busy year!

In this update, we're addressing some long-running player feedback with multiple QoL changes. We're also fixing some over-tuned Champion scaling issues, with dismantles for affected Champions to compensate. While this update does not address everything players have been asking for, there's a lot to be excited about that will make your Idle Champions experience smoother and more fun, no matter what kind of player you are!

Active Tasks



Introducing a new UI feature to help you find your next quest, the Active Tasks Dialog!

We want this to be a one-stop shop when you question what to do next. From here, you can quickly check which Guide and Collection Quests are closest to being completed, your current Event completion progress, Daily Rewards, and more! The Active Task Dialog will now pop up instead of Daily Rewards on initial load, since they are incorporated into this dialog.

You can access this dialog from the exclamation mark button above the bench next to the event button.


UI Changes

Here are all the upcoming changes to the UI you can expect to see!

Champion Search Update

  • The Champion Search feature has been updated with a new feature to help you search based on a Champion's attack speed! This can be found in the Base Attack filter as a sliding bar.

Collections Update

The following changes have been made to the Collections screen:
  • Added Debuff role to the Champion Collection filter
  • Improved performance of scrolling many collections
  • Added Shiny/Golden indication to the Equipment Collection
  • Added Event to source filter for the Feat Collection
  • Guide and Collection quest box indicates how many quests are ready to turn in
  • Collections: Added new color coding system to progress bars:
      Light Green counts towards Progress
    • Gold counts towards Premium Progress
    • Dark Green does not count towards overall progress
  • Collections: Time Gates no longer counts towards overall progress
  • Collections: Campaign progress now includes progress from campaigns you have not yet unlocked

Gameplay Changes

Area Cap Increase

  • We've increased the highest area from 2001 to 2501! Hope your formation is ready to tackle the incredibly powerful monsters in these higher areas!

New Feats

We're adding in some highly requested Feats for 2 Champions: Nrakk and Briv!
  • Heightened Focus: Increases the damage of all Champions by 10% and Nrakk's ultimate now hits once and sets his Ki Points to 15 without any mini-game. This will be added to Nrakk's Feat list!

  • Perfect Focus: Increases the damage of all Champions by 200% and Nrakk's ultimate now hits once and sets his Ki Points to 30 without any mini-game. This can be found in Vajra's Patron shop for 100,000 Symbols of Vajra.
    • If both the Heightened Focus and Perfect Focus Feats are equipped, the 30 ki points will take precedence when using the ultimate

  • Accurate Acrobatics: Briv's Unnatural Haste will always skip the guaranteed number of areas, with no chance to skip an additional one. This can be found in Mirt's Patron shop for 100,000 Ruby Coins.
    • Note: The launch for this Feat has been delayed while we address last-minute bugs discovered in testing. We hope to release it before the end of the year.

Spurt Update

  • We've implemented a cap on Spurt's slot 6 equipment item, Ultimate Cooldown. Its maximum increase is now 5280 seconds while at an item level cap of 21750, without any gilding.
    • We'll be enabling a 1 week full dismantle for Spurt due to this change. All item levels over the cap will be refunded automatically.

Rust Update

We've had to change some of Rust's numbers to help balance him; see the changes below.
  • Rust's base effect of his One Gold Piece ability has been changed from 10% to 5%
  • Rust's effect of his "I Know Those Guys" Feat has been changed from 20% to a 10% increase to the effect of One Gold Piece
  • Rust's effect of his "All I Need" Feat changed from 40% to a 20% increase to the effect of One Gold Piece
    • We'll be enabling a 1 week full dismantle for Rust due to these changes.

Yorven Update

  • We've updated Yorven's Danger Sense ability so that it now targets all Champions in the formation and is no longer positional.

Dungeon Master Update

  • Dungeon Master's Specialization Special Guest Star has been updated to target the full seat of Champions now rather than 1 singular Champion!

Fen Update

  • Fen's Patron Oath has been updated so that as long as she is in a party, her Patron's Oath will affect all parties.

Gem Shop & Store Update

  • Harvestguard Presto will be available for 20,000 gems in the Gem Shop, and the Feat that was available during the Anniversary Celebration (Room to Breathe) is now available for 50,000 gems!

Welcome to our preview for the Simril Year 8 Event Augments!

The final Year 8 Event of 2024 begins on Wednesday, December 4, and it will include four returning Event Augments.

For more information about which Event Augments will be active for Simril Year 8, read on.

Simril Year 8 Event Augments

  • Augment 1: Refreshing Boons (Returning Augment)
    Description: Event boons obtained during this event last for 21 days and don't expire when the event ends. Obtaining another boon at any point during the event refreshes this timer. If your boon persists into the next event, it will stack with that event's boon until it expires. However, it will not unlock the supporter slot.

  • Augment 2: Boon Enhancements (Returning Augment)
    Description: An additional boon buff at each level increases gems dropped from bosses.

  • Augment 3: Auto Blacksmith (Returning Augment)
    Description: Event Champions whose recruitment adventure or variants you complete gain common rarity equipment in all slots if they don't already have better. Every tier two or higher event variant completed automatically applies 100 Tiny Blacksmithing Contracts to the variant's Champion's equipment for free!

  • Augment 4: Worth The Wait (Returning Augment)
    Description: Rebalanced Champion Stoki will unlock at the start of week two of this event, and completing her tier 2+ variants awards double chests!


Note: Similar to our rollouts in October and November, the spotlight blogs for the two Featured Champions next month will also be spread out, with Halsin tomorrow, November 29th, and Stoki's releasing next Friday, December 6th.
