BW2: Creature Collector - Flamingo Floaty mounts!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Coppers of the Creature Collector

The eccentric Creature Collector has returned to the Commons, this time with a trio of flamingo floaty mounts!

Head to the event area and choose one to train. You have until noon on Wednesday September 8th to complete the collector's four daily quests, level up your chosen creature, earn Creature Coppers to spend in their store, and get another page to your Creature Collector's Compendium!

The Compendium Page will be given after the event ends. If you don't have the Creature Collector's Compendium ranch item, you'll get it when you get your first page.

After the event, the collector will be taking their creature back unless you adopt it by purchasing its corresponding mount pack, available starting Monday September 3rd.

Train hard, Bush Whackers!

The training quests unlock at noon on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Those busy on the weekends can still catch up!

- The VIP "Quest Reset" power does not reset these mini event quests, and they are not affected by the Time Turner and Timey Whimey Watch.
- Swapping your event mount with a higher level mount doesn't count towards event progress.
- These three mounts earn double the experience compared to other mounts for the duration of this mini-event!
- Expiring mounts cannot have their bonuses swapped.

Ye Olde Creature Collector's Galleria - Mounts

When you speak to Tanela Tiva in the event area, you can select the "What past mounts are for sale?" chat option.

This will open a new store, which will contain 3 non-event premium mounts you have never owned! They cost Bush Bucks, like in event stores. The selection will change next time Tanela Tiva visits to event area.

We've done this in response to players asking to see old premium mounts they've missed out on, to help you fill out your pet collection. Snag those old-school mounts you're missing out on!

BW2: Changes Released Jan 6 2017
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Hi Whackers!

Thank you for all your feedback on the mount augmentation update. Today we released some improvements to it, to help you on your quest for the perfect mounts!

  • Feed selling store now shows "Sell" buttons instead of "Buy" buttons, and items are no longer titled as "trade in...".

  • Feed selling store now displays current amount of Mount Bucks in the currency bar.

  • Hovering over feed items in the feed selling store will now show what effect it has.

  • Can now specify the quantity when buying/selling feeds for Mount Bucks in the feed stores.

  • Releasing a mount no longer reduces progress on relevant achievements (retroactive). That means your mount collection achievements will be restored to their old values, if you've released almost all of your mounts.

  • Closing the buying/selling feed stores now take you back to Clint's Mount Buck chat menu.

  • Gems bar is now hidden in stores that don't have items that cost gems.

Mount Augmentation!
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Hi Whackers!

Today brings a long-awaited feature update to mounts and the ownership of them! We've added 5 new functions to Clint to help you manage your mounts, and at the center of all of them are Mount Bucks.

You can earn Mount Bucks by...

Releasing Mounts!
Too many horses from your biweekly questing for a mount and Large Energy Pack? Only want to collect one of each color? Well, now you can trade in all your unwanted mounts to Clint for some of the all-new Mount Bucks!
  • If you turn in a tamed mount, you'll get 10 Mount Bucks!
  • If you decide you no longer love one of your premium mounts and trade it in, you'll get 100 Mount Bucks!
  • The mounts received from content areas (such as secret bonus areas) or quests cannot be traded in though, but they do make nice decorations on your ranch!
Trading In Excess Feeds!
Have 100 of each of all the mount feeds you are not really interested in? Now you can trade them into Clint as well for Mount Bucks! Four small feed or one large feed will grant you a Mount Buck. You can also trade in Hay in groups of 4.

You can also spend Mount Bucks to...

Buy Mount Feed!
In addition to being able to buy premium feed for vouchers, you can also buy small and large feed for Mount Bucks. So if you're running low on Large Soybeans for example, you can pick some up with your Mount Buck collection!

Re-train Mounts!
Ever wish you could redo that last level-up of your Mount? Now you are able to buy a retry! With enough gold and Mount Bucks on hand, you can redo a level-up (or 2, or more) gone wrong, and get your mount's bonuses in perfect order!

Swap Mount Bonuses!
Are you loving your current mount set-up, but you really wish it was on your awesome Ostrich instead of your plain Black Horse? Or is today an Elephant day instead of a Momma Roo day?

Well, now for a handful of Mount Bucks, you can swap the bonus set up between mounts! It is an all-or-nothing deal though, no picking and choosing which bonuses get swapped. But it makes using the mount you adore that much easier!

We hope you enjoy this addition to the mount management system. You can post questions and feedback on the forums!

Mounts in BW2
Posted in Bush Whacker 2.

Hi Whackers!

Have you ever been whacking bushes and thought to yourself "Golly, it must be so tiring running everywhere"? Or had a burning desire to play polo with bushes and critters? Never fear Whackers, your days of walking are over!

Drum roll please! Mounts are now available in Bush Whacker 2!

As long as you've unlocked PAGAS, you can go on a quest to find an NPC that tames and raises mounts! After you meet him, he'll move to beside the well in the Commons. He'll teach you the secrets of mount whispering and gives you the know-how to tame one! Now you'll be able to whack in style while riding on your new mount!

Every mount starts with a speed bonus and a fixed odds bonus of some sort. As you level it up, it'll get a new random bonus! You can try to affect which random bonus your mount gets by feeding it special mount feed that you can find while whacking!

To celebrate this fantastic new feature, we have a premium mount on sale! Over the weekend, you can buy the unique Llama mount until Monday April 27th at Noon PDT.

Talk about the addition on the forums!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a mount?
A mount is a new companion for you to ride and level up. It provides whacking bonuses for you that stack with your Pet, Trinkets and Runes.

  • How do I get a mount?
First you'll need to find Clint and convince him to come to the Commons. You can get this quest as long as you've already brought PAGAS to the Commons. Once Clint has moved in, you can do a quest for him approximately every two weeks (13 days) to randomly tame one of three horse varieties. There will also be numerous premium mounts available to buy, starting with the Llama mount this weekend.

  • How do I equip my mount?
You can find the mount selector in your inventory near your equipped hat, cape, and pet. Click on it and select your mount. You can also click the empty circle to unequip your mount.

  • How do I ride my mount?
When you equip your mount, you will automatically be riding it. You will dismount for some interactions with NPCs and objects. At all other times, you can click the new Mount/Dismount button found beside the crop timer. Note that you will still receive all the bonuses from your equipped mount even if you choose to dismount.

  • How do mount bonuses work?
Mounts provide bonuses to your whacking just like Pets, Trinkets, and Runes. Mounts have four potential bonuses they might earn when they level up. These are chosen randomly when the mount is tamed or purchased and again each time it levels up. When a mount levels up it picks one of the bonuses and adds that it its permanent bonuses. You can affect the odds of a potential bonus being chosen with Mount Feed.

  • What is the Mount Feed?
There are 55 types of feed, which affect the 18 bonuses that can be obtained by your mount. There is a small version, which adds a little bit of chance that your mount gets that bonus; a large version which adds a much larger chance (approximately 4x small feed); and a pristine version which guarantees that bonus on level up. There is also a feed that lets you reroll all the potential bonuses the random generator will choose from when your pet levels up. There is no limit to the amount you can feed your mount, though without Pristine food you can never 100% guarantee a specific bonus will be rolled.

  • Where do I get Mount Feed?
They will come randomly from satchel drops, bush whacks and harvesting crops. We may also include feed in premium packs in the future.

  • How do I feed my mount?
You can feed your equipped mount directly from your inventory. Once you have some feed, simply load up your inventory and click the Mount Feed tab. Note that you can only feed your mount feeds that will affect the four potential level-up bonuses your mount has. For example, if your mount doesn't already have a chance to get a Mana Odds bonus when it levels up, you can't feed it something that would increase it's chance to roll the Mana Odds bonus.

  • How does my mount level up?
Just like pets, they level up from whacking bushes, but they require more experience than pets per level.

  • Can I put my mount on my ranch when I'm not using it?
Yes, Mounts can be placed on your ranch and will wander around exactly like pets.

  • Will I change mounts if I click on one that is on my ranch?
In the future, yes, but not yet.

  • Can I have companions and mounts equipped at the same time?
    Yes! They are separate things!

  • Do I need to be riding my mount for it to gain experience?
No, you just need to have it equipped.
