Idle Champions: Trials of Mount Tiamat

Tiamat recently escaped to Faerûn and threatens to destroy the whole of reality. It's time for you and your Champions to take part in an epic battle to distract, disrupt, and destroy the Dragon Queen's forces in a last-ditch effort to banish Tiamat back to Avernus and save the world!

We are excited to challenge you and your Champions to the Trials of Mount Tiamat, our co-operative multiplayer campaign! Team up with four other players, battle the Queen of Chromatic Dragons over seven days, and earn epic loot to level up your gear to new heights. Read on to learn the basics and make sure you check out all the details in the full FAQ in the game!

Softcap Increase

Before we get into the Trials of Mount Tiamat, we're excited to announce that the softcap on all of our Champions has been increased! So if you have yet to complete Descent into Avernus, or you've been stuck at your wall for a spell, your Champions will be able to level up even further, with 470 new upgrades split across 87 Champions!

What are the Trials of Mount Tiamat?

The Trials of Mount Tiamat is a new asynchronous co-operative multiplayer system that is unlocked once you complete the Descent into Avernus campaign. By playing through the Trials of Mount Tiamat, you can collect Scales of Tiamat, which you can use to upgrade your Epic items into Legendary rarity, imbuing them with new and unique powers!

How do I unlock this feature?

Before you can take part in Trials, you must have battled Tiamat and completed 'Elturel's Last Stand' in the Descent Into Avernus campaign. Then you need to complete the introductory adventure by clicking the Trials of Mount Tiamat campaign button on the campaign map. Once that is done, a new dialog will appear in the game which will let you create and join active Trials of Mount Tiamat campaigns.

How do I create or join a Trials of Mount Tiamat campaign?

On the main Trials of Mount Tiamat dialog screen, you can choose to create or join a campaign. If you're creating the campaign, you pick the campaign difficulty and the currency you will use to start it. Once you have created a campaign, you can select your Trial and nominate your Assault Front Champion. You will also see a campaign code you can give out if you want specific people to join your campaign. Pick a Trial to attempt, nominate your Assault Front Champion in order to "ready-up," and then wait for up to four additional players to join and "ready up" before you start.

If you're joining another campaign, you can view a list of available campaigns started by other players, or input a campaign code to join a specific one. You can filter by the difficulty of the campaign and/or the available Trials. You can only join campaigns that are at most one difficulty higher than the highest difficulty at which you have defeated Tiamat. Once you have joined a campaign you must pick a Trial to attempt and nominate your Assault Front Champion in order to "ready-up".

What are the "Trials" and how do I pick one?

The "Trials" are five unique adventures that take place on, around, or under Mount Tiamat. They focus on distracting, disrupting, and destroying the Dragon Queen's forces so the Assault Front Champions can engage her directly in order to banish her back to Avernus. The monsters and environments you battle in vary from Trial to Trial, and there are rewards for completing each Trial for the first time. Other than that, it doesn't make a difference which Trial you choose on any given week. Only one player can pick each Trial each week and everyone must choose a Trial before the campaign can begin.

What is an "Assault Front Champion" and how do I pick one?

When you join a campaign, you will select one of your roster's Champions to join the Assault Front. The Assault Front is where Champions directly engage Tiamat and attempt to reduce Tiamat's health to zero to force her into the Red Wizard's trap. Choose carefully, as you will be unable to use your chosen Assault Front Champion while the campaign is active! These Assault Front Champions will provide buffs to all players on the campaign based on their roles and their item level, so sending more popular, more powerful Champions to the Assault Front will result in higher buffs to each party.

What happens on my Trial Adventure?

The goal is to reduce Tiamat's health to zero and you do so by increasing your DPS contributions by doing your chosen Trial adventure. You can reset your Trial Adventure multiple times a day, but will always be forced to reset at the end of the day. This is because each day the battle against Tiamat gets harder! You start out on day one with a single, simple restriction on the adventure, such as "Only Champions with STR 10+ can be used." Each day a new restriction is added, making the fight to reach your daily area goal even harder. You will earn Bahamut favor by resetting your Trial Adventure, which can be converted to the permanent favor of your choice after the campaign has ended.

What rewards can I earn from the Trials of Mount Tiamat?

Every time you complete a campaign you receive Scales of Tiamat, which can be used to upgrade your epic items into Legendary rarity, imbuing them with new and unique powers! If you manage to bring Tiamat's health to zero and banish her back to Avernus, you will receive a bonus of 50% more Scales. You may also receive one or more Glory of Bahamut chests for defeating Tiamat. The higher the difficulty level of the campaign, the more Scales and Chests you can get!

There are also some one-time rewards you can receive. The first time you defeat Tiamat on each difficulty, your Scales of Tiamat reward will be multiplied by 3. Additionally, the first time you defeat Tiamat after taking part in each Trial, you will receive a special Wyrmspeaker Champion Skin!

BW2: Generation 14 Pets are Here!

Gotta find 'em all!

A new selection of critters are now available to be your companions!

Those weirdly random abandoned eggs scattered all over Bushwhackia have been switched up and all new pets are ready to hatch when you accept the "Find an Egg" quest from Misty. She will also have all the Generation 13 eggs available to purchase for Bush Bucks during the "Find an Egg" quest.


Other changes to Misty and Hank for Generation 14:

  • Misty will no longer let players abandon Gen 13 pet eggs that they are hatching (they're now too rare). Only current generation pet eggs can be abandoned during hatching. Please note that if you're in the middle of hatching a pet, then that egg will still hatch into whatever pet it would have been before.

  • Generation 13 pet eggs can now be found in Quester's Satchels (with the same limitations as the Generation 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 eggs, which will still be available in satchels as well.)

  • Hank now sells a random assortment of hatched level 1 Generation 14 pets (instead of Generation 13) for Bush Bucks in his pet store.

PAGAS changes for Generation 14:

  • Generation 14 pet eggs are available to buy with DNA in the PAGAS store, once you have hatched at least five Generation 14 pets. This include 9 unique variations of the new pets.

  • The Pet Progress dialog now includes Generation 14 pets. Another 19 new pets that all players can unlock!

  • There are new PAGAS Pet Progress reward tiers for 800 and 850 unique pets for those avid collectors! A new title "Taxonomist of Bushwhackia", and 10 more Unique DNA, respectively.

  • You can now also trade down your rarer DNAs by talking to Vincent as choose the ‘I'd like to trade my DNA’ then ‘I'd like to trade DOWN my DNA’ chat options.

I. NERDS

    A spontaneous fighter, a creative ranger, and a daring rogue team up with a humorous bard, a deep-thinking wizard, and a logical cleric. Together, they form a sweet partnership! Each NERD has a role, but like all adventuring parties, they're better together!


The NERDS are a Support, DPS, Tanking, and Healing Champion whose abilities change depending on who drives the mining cart! When you want to add them to your formation you can swap them with Bruenor (Slot 1).

III. NERDS' Design

We were super excited to chat with the NERDS team about the best way to bring NERDS to Idle Champions. We wanted to find a way to reflect the different personalities each NERD and their class has while highlighting their teamwork and true companionship as they adventure together.

The NERDS Chromatic Fanatic attack and Formation Abilities change based on who is driving the mining cart, and Shake the Box switches which NERD takes the lead! Specialization choices allow you to select one NERD to always lead the back.

IV. NERDS' Abilities

While all 6 NERDS are a part of this single Champion, only 3 NERDS are active at a time. Active means that they are visible in the minecart. When you use the Shake The Box Ultimate, the NERDS will shake around and a new set of 3 will become active. You can help to lock one of the 3 in the lead (the front of the cart and the main attacker) by choosing a specialization track.

Basic Attack

  • Chromatic Fanatic — The Basic Attack changes based on the Nerd that's at the front of the cart.
    • Fighter (Orange) — Leaps out of the cart and hits the nearest enemy with their shield.
    • Ranger (Red) — Shoots a random enemy with their bow.
    • Bard (Green) — Strums their lute, sending musical notes flying towards a random enemy.
    • Cleric (Yellow) — Leaps out of the cart and smacks a random enemy with their mace.
    • Rogue (Pink) — Disappears and damages the furthest enemy with their caltrops.
    • Wizard (Purple) — Launches a magic missile at a random enemy.

Formation Abilities

  • Fighter (Orange) — Increase the damage of all Champions behind the NERDS by 100% when enemies are attacking the Nerds while the Fighter (Orange) is active.

  • Ranger (Red) — When the NERDS attack while the Ranger (Red) is active, damaged enemies take 100% more damage for the next 15 seconds. This ability does not stack, but the timer resets if it applies again before the 15 seconds are up.

  • Bard (Green) — Increases the damage of Champions adjacent to the NERDS by 100% while the Bard (Green) is active. Can be buffed by upgrades and equipment.

  • Cleric (Yellow) — Heals all Champions in all columns in front of the NERDS for 10 HP per second while the Cleric (Yellow) is active.

  • Rogue (Pink) — When the NERDS attack while the Rogue (Pink) is active, their initial attack leaves behind a small Nerd-shaped trap filled with smoke powder which explodes after 5 seconds, dealing 10x the NERDS' normal damage. The NERDS also attack 0.5 seconds faster while the Rogue (Pink) is active.

  • Wizard (Purple) — When the NERDS attack while the Wizard (Purple) is active, their initial attack spawns 3 magic missiles, which fly out and deal normal damage to 3 random enemies (could include the initial enemy but should fly out in a loop before doing so) if possible.

  • Orange is on it! — When the Fighter (Orange) is active, the max health of the NERDS is increased by 100%. This ability can be buffed by upgrades.

Specializations

Note: These specializations have no immediate effect (i.e. don't immediately put the chosen Nerd in the front of the cart or even transfer them into the cart) until Shake the Box is used.

  • Orange Leader, Standing By —The Fighter (Orange) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used.

  • Red Leader, Standing By — The Ranger (Red) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used.

  • Green Leader, Standing By — The Bard (Green) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used.

  • Yellow Leader, Standing By — The Cleric (Yellow) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used.

  • Pink Leader, Standing By — The Rogue (Pink) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used

  • Purple Leader, Standing By —The Wizard (Purple) will always appear in the front of the cart when Shake The Box is used.

Ultimate Ability

  • Shake The Box — The cart shakes as the three NERDS in the cart are removed and replaced with three random NERDS. They could include some or all of the same NERDS. If a specialization is chosen, the front-NERD is always fixed and does not leave the cart (just the middle and back NERD do). A base attack can not occur while the swap is happening.

Idle Champion Spotlight: Corazón de Ballena

Many children dream of running away to become a pirate. Our latest Champion actually did and became a swashbuckling rogue with some magic tricks up his sleeve!

Corazón de Ballena is joining the Idle Champions roster during Brightswords 4! Read on to learn more about this swashbuckling rogue and his appreciation for the Grease spell!

I. Corazón

Dungeons & Dragons Corazon

    The young man who would eventually join the Oxventure Guild originally grew up as the posh Percival Milquetoast, heir to the Milquetoast estate. But the life of an aristocrat under a Father he despised inspired him to leave it all behind for the high seas! As Corazón de Ballena he became a flamboyant pirate and swashbuckler ready to try and one-up any other rogues he meets. But it was Corazón's own actions that caused the crew of his ship, the Joyful Damnation, to fall under a horrific curse. While he was able to flee to safety, Corazón never forgot his former comrades, and now is on a personal quest to lift the curse he caused. Fortunately he has his new friends in the Oxventure Guild, and a few more tricks up his sleeve!


Corazón is a Support Champion who focuses on aiding his fellow Champions with his skills and pirate style. When you want to add him to your formation you can swap him with Delina (Slot 8).

III. Corazón's Design

Our second Champion from the Oxventure crew from Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra brings a tremendously insecure rogue who hides his self-consciousness both figuratively and literally! It was a delight to work with Andy Farrant to bring Corazón's fast talking, sneak attacking, Grease loving rogue to life in our game.

Corazón likes to avoid getting his hands dirty, and prefers to focus on increasing the damage of his fellow Champions rather than having to do all the attacking himself. To make that easier, his Pirate's Code increases the damage of all Neutral (along the good/evil spectrum) Champions, and Honorary Crewmates lets him add the Neutral tag to anyone who is adjacent. The more Neutral Champions in the formation, the more Grease puddles Corazón will create when he attacks, which causes enemies to slow to a crawl. Finally G.O.A.T. Pirate means that every time Corazón attacks he increases the effect of Pirate's Code, making Neutral Champions even more effective!

He has two different Specializations, each focusing on a different objective. Distant Crewmates changes the way Honorary Crewmates works to affect non-adjacent Champions instead of adjacent ones, in case Corazón wants to position himself away from most of the crew. Or he can cast Mage Hand to drop his Grease puddles on the enemy furthest from the formation instead of the ones he attacks. When the field is filled with pools of Grease, Corazón uses his ultimate Fiery Bombardment to call on his ship, the Joyful Damnation, to fire flaming cannonballs from afar! Not only does this do damage to all enemies on screen, but it lights all the existing Grease puddles on fire, giving more proof to Corazón's assertions that Grease is the greatest spell ever!

IV. Corazón's Abilities

Basic Attack

  • Shadow Step — Corazón attacks a random enemy from the shadows.

Formation Abilities

  • Pirate's Code — Corazón increases the damage of all Neutral (along the good/evil spectrum) Champions in the formation by 100%.
  • Grease — Whenever Corazón attacks he leaves behind a moderately sized puddle of Grease under the enemy he attacked. Grease puddles do not hinder other Champions, but do slow enemies passing through them by 25%. The maximum number of Grease puddles on the screen at once is equal to the number of Neutral Champions in the formation. The effects of Grease puddles, include the ultimate flaming puddles, stack multiplicatively if an enemy is standing in multiple puddles at once.
  • Honorary Crewmates — All Champions adjacent to Corazón gain the Neutral tag (along the good/evil spectrum). This does not affect their other alignment tags, and doesn't affect whether they are eligible for the adventure, but will make them eligible for the Pirate's Code and any other abilities that affect or are affected by the Neutral tag.
  • G.O.A.T. Pirate — Increase the effect of Pirate's Code by 0.01% each time Corazón attacks, stacking additively and lasting until reset.

Specializations

  • Distant CrewmatesHonorary Crewmates now affects all non-adjacent Champions instead of adjacent ones.
  • Mage HandGrease no longer leaves behind puddles under the enemy Corazón attacks, instead it is dropped on the enemy furthest from the formation through creative use of a Mage Hand spell. The effect of these puddles is increased by 10%, multiplicatively.

Ultimate Ability

  • Fiery Bombardment — Corazón's ship, the Joyful Damnation, fires flaming cannonballs from afar, damaging all enemies and lighting all existing Grease puddles on fire for 30 seconds. Enemies in the flaming Grease puddles are dealt 1/30th of this ultimate's damage per second and take 100% more damage while the puddle is on fire.

Idle Champions: The Grand Tour, Part 14

Mantol-Derith is supposed to be a neutral outpost in the underdark, a place where all groups can meet without threat of violence. Unfortunately it didn't take much for all of that peace to fall apart...

We need to make it to Mantol-Derith to uncover more details about the situation, but first we need to solve the problems that are causing this all out inter-faction war!

Note: you will need to have completed the previous two Grand Tour Adventures, Lost in the Underdark and Leemooggoogoon Rises, in order to access these new Adventures.



Neutral No More

Head to Mantol-Derith to learn more about the demonic incursion into the Underdark.
  • Variant: Fungal Excitation — On the way to Mantol-Derith the party is attacked by a flood of Spore Servants! These Underdark Spore Servants do not count towards quest progress, nor do they drop gold. Each time you re-encounter an area, the number of Underdark Spore Servants increases!
    Reach Area 425.

Encroaching Madness

Explore Mantol-Derith while you discover the reason behind the inter-faction war.
  • Variant: Watchful Eyes — The Zhentarim are willing to help but are also warry of betrayal, so two Zhentarim spies join the formation for this adventure to keep an eye on things. You'll need to be persuasive to keep these Zhentarim trusting you, so only Champions with CHA of 14 or higher can be used.
    Reach Area 425.

Idle Champion Spotlight: Prudence

A powerful, terrifying cry pierces the battlefield, "ELDRITCH BLAST!"

Prudence is the latest Champion to join the Idle Champions roster with Ahghairon's Day! Read on to find out more about this gleefully evil warlock.

I. Prudence

Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Sergeant Knox

    There's nothing more fun than being the bad one, and this tiefling revels in her commitment to violent solutions to any problem! Abandoned as a child, Prudence grew up in a cave under the care of a hermit. But now she appreciates the companionship of her fellow Oxventure Guild members, even if they disagree on tactics and morality. She is a devoted warlock of Cthulhu and enjoys following his dark, if sometimes confusing, instructions. While her powers and abilities may be grim, her demeanor is gleeful as she disintegrates her foes!


Prudence is a DPS Champion who focuses on destroying her enemies with her Eldritch powers. When you want to add her to your formation you can swap her with Calliope (Slot 5).

III. Prudence's Design

It's not often we can add such a joyfully evil Champion to our roster, and it was a delight to work with Jane Douglas to bring her bloodthirsty character to life in the game! The Oxventure crew from Outside Xbox and Outside Xtra have been playing together for several years, which gave us a wonderfully large library of adventures to draw from when creating Prudence in Idle Champions.

Prudence is focused on dealing damage and killing enemies, and the more foes she's felled the happier she becomes! Each time she kills an enemy she gains a stack of Glee, and those stacks further increases her damage. Since she enjoys showing off to both Good and non-Good aligned Champions, her Delight and Resolve abilities increases her damage and maximum number of stacks of Glee. But if her attack is not enough to destroy her target she gains a stack of Frustration, which increases her damage. That way she can make sure the next time she attacks, those Champions adjacent to her don't witness her fail at murder again!

Her Specializations allow you to decrease the cooldown of either her base attack or ultimate attack, so she can get back to the slaughter even faster. And when it's time to unleash death and destruction across the battlefield, her Ultimate Hunger of Hadar is sure to bring Prudence great joy and her enemies unknown horror!

IV. Prudence's Abilities

Basic Attack

  • Eldritch Blast — A beam of crackling green shoots towards an enemy, dealing damage.

Formation Abilities

  • Glee — Prudence gains one stack of Glee each time she kills an enemy. For each stack of Glee, her damage is increased by 10%, stacking additively and capping at 10 stacks. Glee has a 25% chance to lose one stack whenever a Champion other than Prudence gets a kill.
  • Delight — Increase the damage bonus of Prudence's Glee ability by 100% for each Good aligned Champion in the formation, stacking additively and then applying multiplicatively.
  • Resolve — Increase the max stacks of Prudence's Glee by 10 for each non-Good Champion in the formation.
  • Frustration — Every time Prudence attacks an enemy but does not kill it she gains a stack of Frustration. Frustration stacks increase her damage by 200%, stacking multiplicatively. The maximum number of Frustration stacks is equal to the number of Champions adjacent to Prudence. Frustration stacks are reduced by 1 each time Prudence gets a kill.

Specializations

  • Eldritch Torrent — When Prudence attacks, there is a 50% chance that her base attack cooldown will be immediately reset.
  • She Hungers — When Prudence attacks, there is a 5% chance that her ultimate attack cooldown will be immediately reset.

Ultimate Ability

  • Hunger of Hadar — Prudence opens a gateway to the dark between the stars, a region infested with unknown horrors. An area of blackness and bitter cold appears on the ground between melee range and ranged range of enemies. Tentacles erupt out of it, pulling all enemies together.

We finally reach the lost Netherese city of Ythryn. Alien and Unknown in almost every way, we are quickly overcome by constructs and living spells. We stumble across an ally who can help us complete the Rite of the Arcane Octad, an ancient ritual needed to access the Ythryn Mythallar, our last hope to help restore Icewind Dale.

Note: you will need to have completed the previous two Icewind Dale Adventures, Reghed Glacier Mysteries and Tekeli-li's Hunt, in order to access these new Adventures.



The Rite of the Arcane Octad

Explore the ancient city of Ythryn while the remainder of its defenders try to keep its secrets hidden!
  • Variant: Alien Allies — Explore the ancient city of Ythryn while Aspix the Nothic attempts to assist you.
    • Aspix the Nothic accompanies the formation, quietly 'borrowing' a portion of your loot!
    • Gold find is reduced by 99%.
  • Reach Area 550.

The Netherese Necropolis

Search the city for more Arcane Octad clues while learning more about the destruction of Ythryn.
  • Variant: Ineffectual Intellectuals — Search the city while taking time to try and understand the magical mysteries hidden within.
    • Only Champions with INT of 14 or higher can be used.
    • Champions' normal attack cooldowns are increased by 1 second.
    Reach Area 575.

New Distractions

Keep a close eye out while you are within the city of Ythryn, as chimeric hares and rats are scampering around as new distractions! Chimeric creatures were magical creations that the residents of Ythryn used to keep as pets. During the years of exile within the glacier, the former pets have broken out of their domiciles and now roam freely.

The greatest bard in the multiverse is here to sing her song of victory!

Ellywick Tumblestrum is the latest Champion to join the Idle Champions roster with Midsummer 4! Read on to hear the music of her bardic might!

I. Ellywick Tumblestrum

    Thanks to a lucky draw from the notorious Deck of Many Things, Ellywick Tumblestrum is now the Greatest Bard in the Multiverse! Her magnificent music has dazzled beings across many planes, including royalty from the Feywild. The Summer Queen and the Queen of Air and Darkness were so moved by her performance that they gifted the bard her exquisite instrument, the beautiful lute Morningmist. She tells tales of her amazing adventures at the Witchlight Carnival, aided by her frog companion Groak.


Ellywick is a Support, Gold Find, and Healing Champion who uses the Deck of Many Things to augment her abilities. When you want to add her to your formation you can swap her with Tyril (Slot 10).

III. Ellywick's Design

Ellywick Tumblestrum is not only a featured Planeswalker in the latest Magic: The Gathering release: Adventures in the Forgotten Realms, she is also a character you may encounter in the upcoming D&D TRPG Adventure: The Wild Beyond The Witchlight. We are so excited to continue the fun that Magic started with Ellywick's debut, and get everyone up to speed on her before you run into her on your next D&D campaign!

When we started to design Ellywick, we had the benefit of learning her backstory from The Wild Beyond Witchlight, but also what her Planeswalker Card would bring to the table. It allowed us to take inspiration from both brands' representations of Ellywick to create our own!

Ellywick's title of 'Greatest Bard in the Multiverse' is a powerful title, and it's all based on a lucky pull from the Deck of Many Things. Thanks to the Moon card, she was granted the ability to cast a wish spell, and as those of us lucky enough to wield that power in a D&D game know, a wish spell is not something you cast lightly. She used her wish to become the Greatest Bard in the Multiverse, and join an elite set of bards in Idle Champions, including Calliope, Birdsong, Vlahnya, Paultin, Qillek, Freely, Hew Maan, Orisha, and of course: Deekin. Well, maybe she didn't use the wish spell to join our motley crew, but it was at least a fun side effect!

Because The Deck of Many Things was so integral to her backstory, we leaned heavily on it for her design. The Deck of Many Things is filled with cards that are both beneficial and detrimental, and as Ellywick progresses with the Champions, she pulls a random card from the deck, bringing those effects to the rest of the party! They might buff her Powerful Following which increases the damage of Champions in the column behind her, embolden her Greatest Song In The Multiverse which reduces the health of enemies, or bring extra luck to her Fortunate Soul ability which increases how much gold is found. But there is a small chance a card will be pulled that will make enemies faster and more powerful! There are 5 cards she can pull from the Deck of Many Things, and we took inspiration from both Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons with how those cards affect both Ellywick and the formation.

Her Specializations allow you to increase the power of one of her abilities and increase the chance of drawing more beneficial cards, while her Ultimate Call Of The Feywild takes direct inspiration from her Planeswalker card, bringing 6 fey creatures forth to heal her allies and harm her enemies.

IV. Ellywick's Abilities

Basic Attack

  • Quick Strum — Ellywick strums her lute, Morningmist, three times in quick succession, sending out three streaks of magical musical energy that damages random enemies.

Formation Abilities

  • The Deck Of Many Things — Ellywick draws a random card from the Deck of Many Things, gaining the effect as listed below. The effect persists until she draws a new card. She draws a new random card from the Deck of Many Things after completing 100 areas in the formation. This card replaces any card she is already holding. She can draw the same card multiple times during an adventure, but can not draw the same one twice in a row. Possible cards include:
    • Knight (25% chance) - Grants one Knight stack for every 100 monsters killed while this card is active. Knight stacks affect Ellywick's Powerful Following ability.
      • A maximum of 25 Knight stacks can be earned each time this card is active, and all Knight stacks persist after the card is discarded.
    • Moon (25% chance) - Grants one Moon stack for each boss loot sack earned while this card is active. Moon stacks affect Ellywick's Greatest Song In The Multiverse ability.
      • A maximum of 20 Moon stacks can be earned each time this card is active, and 50% of the total Moon stacks persist after the card is discarded, rounded up.
    • The Fates (5% chance) - Disables all existing stacks from The Deck of Many Things while this card is active.
      • When this card is discarded, all existing stacks amounts are re-enabled and increased by 25%, rounded up.
    • Flames (20% chance) - Grants one Flames stack when this card is drawn. All monsters move 100% faster and deal 100% more damage while this card is active for each Flames stack you have, stacking additively.
      • All Flames stacks persist after the card is discarded.
    • Gem (25% chance) - Gain one Gem stack for every three gems collected while this card is active. Gem stacks affect Ellywick's Fortunate Soul ability.
      • A maximum of 20 Gem stacks can be earned each time this card is active, and 75% of the total Gem stacks persist after the card is discarded.
  • Powerful Following — Ellywick increases the damage of Champions in the column behind her by 100%. This ability is increased by 10% for each Knight stack that Ellywick has, stacking additively and applying multiplicatively.
  • Greatest Song In The Multiverse — Ellywick plays music that emboldens the hearts of her allies and saps the will of her enemies. This ability decreases the max health of enemies by 50%. For every 5 Moon stacks the enemy health debuff is applied again, stacking multiplicatively with itself.
  • Fortunate Soul — Gold Find is increased by 50%. This ability is increased by 5% for each Gem stack Ellywick has, stacking additively and applying multiplicatively.

Specializations

  • For The Fans — The effect of Knight stacks on Powerful Following is increased to 25% per stack. In addition, the chance to draw the Knight Card is increased by 10%, while the chance to draw Moon and Gem cards is decreased by 5% each.
  • Faster Tempo — It only takes 3 Moon stacks instead of 5 to increase the effect of Greatest Song In The Multiverse. In addition, the chance to draw the Moon Card is increased by 10%, while the chance to draw Knight and Gem cards is decreased by 5% each.
  • All That Sparkles — The effect of Gem stacks on Fortunate Soul is increased to 7.5% per stack. In addition, the chance to draw the Gem Card is increased by 10%, while the chance to draw Knight and Moon cards is decreased by 5% each.

Ultimate Ability

  • Call Of The Feywild — Ellywick draws six feywild creatures to her; they appear on the right side of the screen and dash towards her across the enemies, dealing damage as they pass by. Once they are gathered, Powerful Following is increased by 200% for 15 seconds and all Champions adjacent to Ellywick are healed for 50% of their max health. After 15 seconds they dash off again to the right, dealing damage to any remaining or newly spawned enemies.

New Variants

Today's update introduces ten new variants spread across all of our campaigns: Grand Tour of the Sword Coast, Tomb of Annihilation, Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, and Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden. You will need to have completed the original adventures in order to unlock these variants. Three of the new variants have unique rewards:
  • The Spirit of the Trickster Gods variant in the Tomb of Annihilation campaign marks our final Tomb of Annihilation variant and rewards 5 Modron Component Chests on completion.
  • The Path of Trials variant in the Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus campaign is easier if you have Alyndra in your formation, and it rewards the Red Panda Alyndra skin on completion.
    • Note: If you haven't unlocked Alyndra you can still complete the variant and gain the skin. When you unlock her in the future you'll have access to the skin.
  • The Frozen in Fear variant in the Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign is easier if you have Havilar in your formation, and it rewards the Red Panda Havilar skin on completion.
    • Note: If you haven't unlocked Havilar you can still complete the variant and gain the skin. When you unlock her in the future you'll have access to the skin.

Grand Tour of the Sword Coast

  • The Prison of Velkynvelve: Prisoners of Unknown Choices
  • You awake in the underdark, cursed by choices made by an unseen foe!
    • Two of the slots in your formation are cursed due to the choices made by some massively powerful unseen force!
    • The cursed slots change every 15 seconds by moving to a random adjacent slot. Champions in cursed slots can not attack and all their upgrades are disabled.
    • Reach area 400.

  • Lost in the Underdark: Visions of Hornfirth
  • Find your way to Sloobludop with Bubbles by your side!
    • Bubbles has created an illusion of Ogres to remind us of our trip to Hornfirth. How kind!
    • Bubbles the Hollyphant joins the formation.
    • Each wave has a 50% chance of spawning 1 or 2 Ogre Battering Rams.
    • Enemies have their damage and movement speed increased by 100% for each Ogre Battering Ram on screen (additive).Ogres do not drop gold, nor do they count towards quest progress.
    • Only Champions with CON of 14 or higher can be used.
    • Reach area 400.

Tomb of Annihilation Variants

  • The Guardian of Orolunga: Red Wizard 'Escort'
  • Help Artus find clues with a friend from the future.
    • Bubbles brought us a friend from the future! Wait, is that right?
    • Rath Modar, the infamous Red Wizard, joins the formation to learn of the fall of his Red Wizards in Chult. Don't worry, Bubbles vouched for him.
    • 2 additional Red Wizards spawn with each wave. All Red Wizards each have 4 additional armored HP that must be cleared before they can be destroyed.
    • Only Champions with INT of 12 or lower can be used.
    • Reach area 350.

  • The Lost Love: Spirit of the Trickster Gods
  • Race Valindra to Mezro with the 9 Trickster Gods by your side!
    • Bubbles joins the formation (slot 4) and brings the spirit of the trickster gods with her! That's good, right?!
    • Various trickster gods affect the formation throughout the adventure, granting a boon or a bane to the formation. The trickster god rotates every 5 areas
      • I'jin - The Champions in the second column of the formation have their normal attack cooldown increased by 2 seconds.
      • Kubazan - Champions deal 100% additional damage.
      • Moa - Good Champions deal 400% additional damage.
      • Nangnang - Enemies drop 99% less gold.
      • Obo'laka - The Champions in the third column of the formation deal no damage.
      • Papazotl - Enemies move 200% faster and deal 100% additional damage.
      • Shagambi - Evil Champions deal no damage.
      • Unkh - Neutral Champions deal no damage.
      • Wongo - When a non-boss enemy is killed, it respawns after 5 seconds.
    • Reach area 400.
    • Rewards 5 Modron Component Chests

Waterdeep: Dragon Heist Variants

  • Building Trust: The Newcomers of Notoriety
  • Escort a mysterious noble while Baeloth summons some fancy friends to entertain us!
    • Baeloth thought it would be fun to split the party, allowing the newcomers to enjoy his illusions! You can only use Event Champions in this adventure. No core or Evergreen Champions allowed.
    • Fancy red pandas in top hats riding unicycles attack with each wave of enemies. They drop no gold, nor do they count towards quest progress.
    • The fancy red pandas deal 400% additional damage. Watch out!
    • Reach area 200.

  • The Dinner Party: Thine Bounty is Mine!
  • Protect the hidden Lords of Waterdeep while protecting your panda from a pirate!
    • Cinnamon the red panda joins the formation.
    • A drunken sailor is convinced that Cinnamon is the perfect pet for her ship, and she must have them!
    • The sailor boss spawns in every area after 10 enemies with one of four special abilities: spawns normally but moves quickly, spawns with hits-based health, spawns with armor-based health, or spawns riding a cannon that one-shots your champions.
    • If Briv is in your formation, Champions' normal attack cooldowns are decreased by .5 seconds.
    • Reach area 225.

  • The Path of Dreams: The Path of Trials
  • Follow Lulu's dreams while Tiamat's chromatic dragons slow your progress!
    • Only Champions with WIS 14 or higher can be used.
    • In each boss area, a random young chromatic Dragon appears with the normal area boss. The additional boss must also be defeated to progress.
    • If Alyndra is in your formation, the Dragon spawns with half health.
    • Reach area 400

  • The Lost Hollyphant: Best Friend Search Squad!
  • Follow Lulu's cries across Avernus with a distracting Bubbles and Cinnamon at your side!
    • Bubbles & Cinnamon have formed a search party for Lulu, joining the formation for this adventure.
    • Enemies drop 99% less gold.
    • Only Champions with CHA of 13 or lower can be used.
    • Reach area 425.

    Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden

    • Dwarven Rumors: Frozen in Fear
    • Explore a rumor about invisible dwarves, while dealing with vampire gnolls!
      • Each area, gnoll vampires appear from the Rime (1 in each wave). They drop no gold, nor do they count towards quest progress.
      • Whenever a gnoll vampire deals damage to a Champion, that Champion is stunned for 2 seconds.
      • All Champions' normal attack cooldown is increased by 1 second, unless Havilar is in your formation.
      • Reach area 350.

    • Sunblight: Hats Off to You
    • Learn what you can while fancy red pandas attempt to 'entertain' you.
      • Baeloth and his illusory fancy red pandas are back!
      • Fancy red pandas in top hats riding unicycles attack with each wave of enemies. They drop no gold, nor do they count towards quest progress.
      • While these distracting red pandas are on screen, all enemies deal 200% additional damage.
      • Only Champions with DEX of 14 or higher can be used.
      • Reach area 375.

    New DLC Packs

    At the launch of the Summer Spectacular at Noon Pacific, two new DLC Packs will become available, and 4 of our existing DLC packs will be updated with Red Panda bonuses!

    Dungeons & Dragons Summer Spectacular New DLC The Red Panda Orisha Skin & Feat Pack unlocks the Red Panda Orisha Skin, Orisha’s Wings of Tails Epic Feat, and 7 Gold Orisha Chests with 1 Guaranteed Shiny Equipment Card. It will also unlock the Orisha Champion if you don't already have her.


    Dungeons & Dragons Summer Spectacular New DLC The Red Panda Baeloth Theme Pack unlocks the Red Panda Baeloth Skin, Baeloth's Red Panda Djinni Epic Feat, the Fancy Red Panda Familiar, 1 Epic Potion of the Gold Hunter, and 16 Gold Baeloth Chests with 2 Shiny Equipment Cards. It will also unlock the Baeloth the Entertainer Champion if you don't already have him.

    The Journey Continues

    Have you completed the Salt Desert? Are you tired of the Mountain Passage's impassability? Are you yearning for power beyond level 440? We have just the update for you!

    Head to the Mountain Passage and enjoy a new whack of content! Three new zones await your well-honed bush whacking skills in this first part of the Prismatic Passage.

    The Prismatic Passage

    Dust off your salt-crusted garments and step into a bedazzling underworld of glittering and gleaming flora and fauna. But step lightly, as the mysterious new inhabitants dwell in the wake of the Red Man's hasty retreat.

    In this update, you can expect:
    • 3 new bedazzling zones to complete!
    • 20 more levels to attain! (new max is 460)
    • More secrets to uncover!
    • More trinkets to purchase, craft, and combine!
    • Part 2 to await!

    Prerequisites

    If you've completed the main story of the Cenote Site quest hub, you can now go back to the Mountain Passage zone to begin your journey.
