Crusaders of the Lost Idols Player Council Applications

Hail Crusaders!

We are now accepting applications for our first player council for Crusaders of the Lost Idols!

The Crusaders Player Council will be a group of 15 to 21 Crusaders players with the passion and knowledge about the game to talk directly with us at Codename Entertainment.

We are looking for players who are willing and able to give us meaningful feedback on different areas of the game and their thoughts on potential upcoming features.

As a part of the Crusaders Player Council, you will be part of a team that helps keeps Crusaders of the Lost Idols a continually exciting and enjoyable experience for all players.

Now for the details about what being part of the Crusaders Player Council entails. Please read carefully and thoroughly to see if this opportunity is right for you.
  • The Crusaders Player Council will directly interact with Erika and the dev team via Skype voice calls for the quarterly meetings. As such, it is an absolute requirement that you are willing to install and work with us on Skype.

  • All Crusaders Player Council members are required to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement forms.

  • Crusaders Player Council members will be asked for a 12 month commitment to the community and the Council. This includes 4 meetings via Skype and any emails. We understand that real life comes up and things occur, but we’re seeking individuals who are in it for the long haul and want to be committed to this 100%.

  • Meetings will be held during office hours in Pacific Time Zone.

  • While we greatly appreciate the time and feedback from Crusaders Player Council members this is strictly a volunteer position.

  • This is for personal applications only. We will not be accepting nominations or applications on behalf of another player.

  • All participants must be 18 years or older.

  • Player selection will be based on a variety of different criteria.

  • The language of the Crusaders Player Council will be English.

  • Please put the word Panda in your application message somewhere, just to ensure us that you're actually reading these instructions.

  • Crusaders Player Council members have to be okay with their gaming name and gaming site being published on our website and forums.

We expect there to be a large volume of applications for this opportunity, and we will read through all of them. Our goal is to pick out the players who best represent various gameplay styles in Crusaders of the Lost Idols: from hardcore to casual, and all the other myriad ways people play this game.

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let us know on the forums. This is an exciting and very important time for Crusaders of the Lost Idols, and we hope you will be a part of it.

Quests, Chests and Gifts!

Today we're introducing two new ways you can get your hands on those lovely jeweled chests full of Epic gear, buffs, and newly empowered time warps.

The first way is an all-new feature we call Daily Quests. These are mini objectives that will reward you with precious red rubies once you've completed them.

New Daily Quests

Quest objectives include everything from using certain abilities a set amount of times through to killing a predetermined number of monsters.

You'll be given one new daily quest every day. However, should you fail to complete one, it will be there waiting for you the next day, stacking up to three daily quests available at once. For players who have already been playing for a little while, we'll be throwing you multiple daily quests to get you started.

The number of rubies you can earn varies depending on the difficulty of the quest, but you can expect to get between 10 and 30 of those coveted red jewels per quest.

Why Wait? Buy Jeweled Chests!

We're very excited to announce the second way you can get Jeweled Chests: From today onward, if you simply can't wait to complete a campaign or quest, you can buy Jeweled Chests in the shop! Your support goes directly to further developments in the game, so check it out now!

New Descent into Darkness Campaign

Today we launch our brand new campaign which takes our Crusaders into the depths of the Bush Whacker universe. Our intrepid heroes are tasked with dungeon raiding to wipe out the hordes of enemies creeping around in the catacombs.

However, the tight spaces mean the team have had to leave behind one of their comrades in order to fit into the musty tunnels. The new diamond formation requires more careful strategy to maximize your DPS.

New Diamond Formation

"Grond! Grond! Grond!"

The first three objectives we've created are dastardly enough, but the final fourth objective will challenge even the best players. The Crusaders must resort to a battering ram to taking down the final objective but, of course, that takes up two valuable spots in the formation. It's going to require the very best formation strategist to complete the entire campaign.

New Campaign Objectives

We're very pleased to announce some new campaign objectives for Crusaders of the Lost Idols. We enjoyed an almighty first week since launch thanks to you. Your support saw us achieve the top position of top Idle Game on Kongregate.com and to celebrate, we present to you not one, but two, new campaign objectives for you to play. The two objectives might be more than a little familiar to Monty Python fans.

"That's no ordinary rabbit. That's the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on."

The first is Run Away! which will challenge your formation building skills like never before.

The Crusaders have disturbed none other than the beast(s) which lurks in the cave of Caerbannog! Actually, the merry band have disturbed four of the foulest, cruel and bad-tempered rabbits forcing them to take flight. Your Crusaders will now need to run for their lives and complete all 100 areas to secure the objective goal.

The four slots at the back of your formation will be occupied by these tiny terrors which will mean you'll have to be at your very best to construct a formation that will enable you to win the day. Don't soil your armour!

"Brother Maynard! Bring up the Holy Hand Grenade!"

The second objective continues our Monty Python theme. The Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch requires the party of Crusaders to ensure the safe passage of three monks, including one at the front of the formation carrying the fabled weapon of mass destruction.

Should the party fail in their duty to protect the monks, a nasty surprise awaits the player!

The first objective requires the player complete the 'Centennial' objective (reset after area 100) and collect 50 Idols, while the second requires the 'Dig In' objective (reset after area 150) and 150 Idols.

Good luck, we hope you aren't blown to tiny bits and snuff it.

#1 Idle Game on Kongregate.com

Victoria, British Columbia, 4 August 2015 - Today, veteran games studio Codename Entertainment announced the global launch of Crusaders of the Lost Idols, the next evolution of idle gaming. The game debuted at number 1 in the Idle Games charts on Kongregate.com - the largest dedicated web gaming site in the world.

Crusaders of the Lost Idols puts players in charge of a band of fighters set in the fantasy world of Bush Whacker 2. Their mission is to form a mighty group of adventurers to take on waves of enemies as they rid the world of evil-doers, bad guys, terrible T-Rex, irritable escargot and Panda Claw. Yes, that’s right, a giant panda with lobster claws.

In a unique twist to the new Idle Games category, Crusaders is the only game to include a unique formation feature. Players must now learn to master the art of organising their band into the most powerful formation possible.

The position of each fighter in relation to his or her companions will have a significant effect their attack strength. Combined with their equipped buffs and upgrades, this unique feature adds deep complexity to the idle genre. Another key feature of the game is the chance to earn the chests filled with rewards. As your heroes clear each level, they'll be matched-up against a boss character. If your Crusaders win, they'll be rewarded with gold, buffs and equipment to level-up their abilities.

Only those players who develop the best combination of formation, characters, buffs and upgrades will survive.

“We’re delighted to enable gamers around the world to play our latest game,” said Eric Jordan, CEO of Codename Entertainment. “Our beta player feedback was very positive with some players saying they were losing sleep because they were so hooked. We’re looking forward to more players trying Crusaders and also losing sleep because they can’t stop playing.”

Currently the top-rated Idle Game on Kongregate.com, the game is available now:
