COTLI: Gardeners of the Galaxy 6!

Unrelenting alien plants return, and it's up to the Gardeners of the Galaxy to stop them. It's time for a new strategy. You've fought plants with fungus, but what about fighting plants with other plants?

This year Viragallant, the Alluring joins the garden.

Gardeners of the Galaxy 6 has begun!

New Tier 6 Crusader: Viragallant, the Alluring

Tags: Event, Male, Female, Flora, Support, Good

Wandering around on a lush green planet they'd thought looked perfect for a picnic, the Crusaders find themselves hoping that rustling is just the wind. Every so often, with no breeze to speak of, the vegetation shivers and rustles. Nate being Nate, wanders a bit further from the group and falls into a hidden pit. The rustling almost seems agitated as the other Crusaders manage to rescue him.

However, when Merci casts Alchemy to heal Nate, they glimpse a white bloom open slightly and the rustling seems to calm down, as well as healing Nate better than normal. Bat Billionaire and Polly also cast Alchemy and the white bloom opens fully to reveal a face. The being steps out from the vegetation it had been hiding in, and motions for the group to follow them.

It leads the Crusaders to the portal off the world. As Merci is about to go through, the being tugs his sleeve and nods toward the portal, a shy, questioning look on their face. Merci nods at them, and the Alluring Viragallant steps through the portal to join the team.

Viragallant, the Alluring is a Support Crusader. When you want to add them to your formation, you can find them in slot 35.

New Tier 6 Objectives

  • Viragallant, the Alluring | Viragallant, the Alluring takes up a slot in the formation. Broot and Robbie Raccoon take up spots in formation and can't be moved. Only Robbie does DPS. Note: This will require having cleared the objective To Infinity and Beyond on Ghostbeard's Greed to complete. Reach area 600.

  • Gramma's Best Boy | Spaceking and Grandmora take up spots in formation and can't be moved. Only Spaceking does DPS. Note: This will require having cleared the objective To Infinity and Beyond on Ghostbeard's Greed to complete. Reach area 650.

  • Farmer Wrestling | Rex the Wrestler takes up a spot in formation and can't be moved. The formation has been changed. Every area quest is changed to killing the farmer monster. Note: This will require having cleared the objective To Infinity and Beyond on Ghostbeard's Greed to complete. Reach area 675.

  • Mushroom to Meet You | Mycall the Mushroom takes up a spot in formation and can't be moved. Mushroom monsters spawn, each with an annoying ability. Note: This will require having cleared the objective Bullet Hell on Ready Player Two to complete. Reach area 700.

  • Healing Powers | Drosenthes takes up a spot in formation and can't be moved. Viragallant, the Alluring takes up a slot in the formation. You can only do DPS while Alchemy is active. Note: This will require having cleared the objective Bullet Hell on Ready Player Two to complete. Reach area 725.

COTLI: Gardeners of the Galaxy 5!

Unrelenting alien plants return, and it's up to the Gardeners of the Galaxy to stop them. It's time for a new strategy. You've fought plants with fungus, but what about fighting plants with other plants?

Enter Drosenthes, a new Crusader bringing the power of photosynthesis to your formation!

Gardeners of the Galaxy 5 runs until Tuesday, May 12th at 12PM PDT, introducing Drosenthes and bringing back Mycall the Mushroom, Rex the Wrestler, Grandmora, Spaceking, Broot, and Robbie Raccoon!

New Tier 5 Crusader: Drosenthes

Growing... consuming... Drosenthes has germinated in the beyond and brings with it a unique symbiotic relationship for the Crusaders in your formation.

Slow Digestion grants a charge for every 5 monsters killed, stacking up to 10. Once per second, if any Crusader is below 50% health, Slow Digestion consumes one stack to heal all Crusaders for 50% of their total health. This pairs with Induced Bioluminescence, which damages human and animal Crusaders for 10% of their maximum health each second while at the same time increasing Global DPS for every human and animal Crusader, stacking multiplicatively.

Drostenthes offers unique utility to your formation:
  • Endless Hunger spawns an additional monsters based on the number of monsters killed and Drosenthes' equipment.
  • Photosynthesis increases DPS for every 25 levels over and including 200.
  • Patient Hunter increases the drop rate of Quest Items.
  • Cosmic Botany increases the DPS from Induced Bioluminescence for each Flora Crusader in the formation.
  • Entomophage helps your formation to grow, boosting Global DPS.
Life, death, rebirth. Devour or be devoured. The cycle of life is embodied in no other Crusader the way it is in Drosenthes.

New Tier 5 Objectives

  • Recruit Drosenthes | Drosenthes starts in the formation. Monsters spawn slower. Monsters are much tougher. Monsters move across the screen slower.
    Reach area 400.

  • Gardeners, Grow! | Talent effects are disabled. Only Gardeners of the Galaxy Crusaders can be used. Grandmora starts in the formation.
    Reach area 450.

  • Planet Bulk | Special bulk monsters spawn, and randomly disable one Crusader in your formation while the bulk monster is alive.
    Reach area 475.

  • Willowy Willows | Only Flora and Dragon Crusaders, plus Slot 1 Crusaders, can be used. Special Willow tree monsters spawn, with random effects.
    Reach area 500.

  • Hard Labor | Area difficulty increases rapidly. Crusaders take 10% of their max HP as damage for each monster killed in an area. Crusaders in the center column of the formation have their DPS and formation abilities disabled.
    Reach area 750.

Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Silver and Jeweled Gardeners Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop All Tier chests. Gear for Tier 2, Tier 3, Tier 4 and Tier 5 Crusaders will only appear in All Tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusaders. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop when you go to purchase chests with real money or event currency.

COTLI: Gardeners of the Galaxy Vol. 4

The fourth installment and third sequel to Gardeners of the Galaxy is here — and you know what they say about sequels to sequels to sequels: it's time to change things up! Usually this is the point in the franchise where you take things to space, but since we're already here it's time to fight plants with fungus!

The latest addition to the Gardeners of the Galaxy is Mycall the Mushroom, and they are here to boost your formation with the power of fungus! Breathe in some of these spores and you'll have more than enough firepower to take down even the most colossal of evil plants! GARDENERS, ASSEMBLE!

Gardeners of the Galaxy Vol. 4 introduces Mycall the Mushroom and brings back Robbie Raccoon, Broot, Spaceking, Grandmora, and Rex the Wrestler! The party ends on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at 12:00PM PDT!

New Tier 4 Crusader: Mycall the Mushroom

Fungi may be categorically gross on average, but this frenzied fungus is one you'll want propagating in your formation!

Mycall the Mushroom is a Support Crusader who uses spores that heal Crusaders with their Herbal Healing capabilities, and has a tendency to Grow in the Dark, buffing your formation. In fact, most of Mycall's abilities buff the formation one way or another - they excel at boosting their allies! Mycall has Fungal Frenzy and Mushroom Soup for improving Global DPS, Propagation for boosting adjacent Crusaders based on how many Formation Abilities are targeting Mycall, Germination to increase the DPS of all Crusaders based on the number of EP in the formation, and, well, you get the idea...

Spores = Good! We are Broot.

Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock previous Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Crusaders by completing their respective objectives. Robbie Raccoon, Broot, Spaceking, Grandmora, and Rex the Wrestler are all once again available to unlock!

New Tier 4 Objectives

  • Recruit Mycall the Mushroom | Mycall the Mushroom takes up a slot in the formation. If he dies, you have to restart the Area. Reach area 600.

  • SuperGRO | All plant monsters are stronger and have a ranged attack. Reach area 700.

  • Sprinkled | A sprinkler goes back and forth over the formation. Crusaders in the affected columns lose their DPS. Reach area 750.

  • Capped Out | Only Crusaders with Legendary items have DPS and their formation abilities active. Reach area 800.

  • Down and Dirty | Mounds of dirt take over the formation slowly. Each mound of dirt increases the global DPS for each Flora Crusader in formation. Reach area 850.

Help! Where’s the Loot?

Gear for Tier 2, Tier 3, and Tier 4 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusaders. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

COTLI: Gardeners of the Galaxy Vol. 3

An unrelenting, enormous cosmic plant is slowly consuming the cosmos. Twice before you've faced this foe and (seemingly) won. Perhaps all you really needed was the right wrestler to step into the ring...

Gardeners of the Galaxy Vol. 3 runs until Tuesday, June 5th at 12:00pm PDT. For more information, check out the How to Play / FAQ in-game! I am Broot.

New Tier 3 Crusader: Rex the Wrestler

He's big, he's buff, he's shirtless and purple-skinned: Rex the Wrestler has joined Crusaders of the Lost Idols! Rex is a male support Crusader who takes trophies from slain enemies, occasionally selling them on the black market to enable buffs for the party. And did we mention the body paint? Also we're pretty sure he's invisible.

Crusaders Return

If you haven't collected them already, you can unlock our Tier One Crusaders Broot and Robbie Raccoon by completing the respective Tier One objectives. I am Broot. Then, you can collect the Tier Two Crusaders, Spaceking and Grandmora, by completing the first two Tier Two objectives!

Five New Tier 3 Objectives!

  • Recruit Rex the Wrestler | Rex the Wrestler takes up a slot in the formation. He moves around every 25 areas and buffs global DPS by 100% for each Champion from the Gardeners of the Galaxy event in the formation. Reach area 500.

  • Just Plain Crazy | Only those Crusaders with a penchant for insanity can be used: Hermit, Princess, Khouri, Merci, Nate, Pete, Momma Kaine, Kyle, Metal Soldierette, Broot, Robbie, Ilsa, Mindy, Cindy, Squiggles, Spaceking, Grandmora, Thoonoose, and of course, Rex. Reach area 600.

  • Mix Tape | Enemy Cassette Tapes attack the formation, each "playing" a different song debuff. Debuffs last until the cassette is killed. All cassettes survive for at least 1 second. Reach area 650.

  • Potted Garden | Three slots in the formation are taken up by potted plants, each one debuffing you in some way. Reach area 700.

  • Bug Out | Bug enemies spawn randomly, and each time one is killed, it reduces the DPS of a random Crusader by 50% for 60 seconds and creates a glowing purple cloud over them. This effect stacks additively if it the same Crusader is chosen multiple times. Reach area 750.

Help! Where’s the Loot?

Equipment for event Crusaders can be found in Gardeners Jeweled Chests, which you can earn from objectives and the free play or buy in the shop. I am Broot. Each non-recruitment objective will drop a chest for its given tier of Crusaders, and free play will drop all-tier chests. I am Broot. Gear for the Tier 2 and 3 Crusaders will only appear in all-tier chests once you've unlocked the respective Crusader. You can select the tier of chest you buy in the shop.

You'll have until Tuesday, June 5th at 12:00pm PDT to complete Gardeners of the Galaxy Vol. 3!

Gardeners of the Galaxy 2017

I am Broot. Plus, the giant galaxy destroying plant is back, so there's that. Nate and the gang require more help to defeat the interplanetary flora interloper. Two new Tier Two Crusaders need to be recruited during this updated event.

Gardeners of the Galaxy event runs from today through to May 9th at Noon PDT. For those players who haven't unlocked them already, this is your chance to add both Broot and Robbie the Raccoon to your roster.

Two new Tier Two Crusaders are also available to unlock once you've completed the Tier One objectives: Spaceking and Grandmora.

New Tier Two Crusader: Spaceking.

The first of the two new Tier 2 Crusaders is Spaceking who'd put Zapp Brannigan to shame with his lascivious behaviour and penchant for melodrama.

At level 150, his ability Kirkin' It Up increases his DPS +100% for every alien Crusader in the same formation.

At level 400, Spaceking unlocks Avenger which increases his DPS +100% for each dead Crusader in the formation.

New Tier Two Crusader: Grandmora.

Grandmora is the ageing grandmother of intergalactic being, Thermos. She's an expert in knitting warm, ugly clothes and her insistence on feeding the other Crusaders makes her an ideal support Crusader.

At level 50, Grandmora unlocks Still Suspicious, an ability that Buffs all Crusaders in the column in front of her by 200%, divided by the number of Crusaders in the column behind her.

Grandmora unlocks Untrusting at level 150, the ability buffs all Crusaders in the column behind her by 50%, multiplied by the number of Crusaders in the column in front of her.

After you've completed the first new Tier Two objectives for Spaceking and Grandmora, there are three galaxy-sized new Tier Two objectives to complete.

New Tier Two Objective: Out of Control.

In Out of Control, a rapidly growing plant starts in just one formation slot, but spreads to a new formation slot every 50 areas, eventually encompassing all formation slots until you beat area 400.

New Tier Two Objective: Raid.

In the objective, Raid, two clouds of toxic spray float around the formation, moving to a random adjacent slot every 10 seconds. The Crusaders in the affected slots have their DPS reduced to zero and formation abilities disabled.

New Tier Two Objective: Slow and Steady.

The final new Tier Two objective is Slow and Steady. Every time a monster is killed, every Crusader in your formation takes 5% of their max health as damage. They naturally heal 20% damage every 5 seconds all the way to area 500.

Equipment for both Tier 1 and 2 Crusaders can be found in Gardener's Jeweled Chests. However, gear for the Tier 2 Crusaders will only appear once you've unlocked the respective Crusader.

You'll have until May 9th at Noon PDT to complete the event.
