June marks the 52nd celebration of Pride Month! In support of the LGBTQ+ communities, Codename Entertainment is raising money for Lambert House. Lambert House empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth through the development of leadership, social, and life skills.

Over this weekend you can purchase any of the following, of which 100% of our proceeds will be donated to Lambert House:

- The Pride Cookie Pack, which contains 10 Rainbow Cookies and the Pride Shirt if you don't already have it unlocked. It can be bought up to 5 times.

- Bush Bucks! During this drive, Bush Bucks purchases of 50 or more will include +30% more bucks, and will get you the exclusive Pride Dragon pet (pet given only once).

Why a charity fundraiser, Codename?

One of Codename Entertainment's long-term goals is to give back as much as we can. As part of giving back, we regularly find charities and organizations that we want to support and do charitable promotions for them in-game. (100% of Codename's proceeds from these sales like this go directly to the charity. It gives you some extra in-game goodies, it provides funds and support for Lambert House, and it gives us a warm fuzzy feeling in our tummies.)

Earth Day

As longtime players of Bush Whacker know, we like to give back whenever we can. So for Earth Day, we're having a charity drive!

This drive will run from April 20th through May 3rd, 2022, and we'll be raising money for a great organization that works to protect nature and the environment: Conservation International.

Conservation International

Conservation International protects nature for the benefit of humanity. Through science, policy, fieldwork and finance, they spotlight and secure the most important places in nature for the climate, for biodiversity and for people. With offices in 30 countries and projects in more than 100 countries, Conservation International partners with governments, companies, civil society, Indigenous peoples and local communities to help people and nature thrive together.

National Cancer Prevention Month

As longtime players of Bush Whacker know, we like to give back whenever we can! So for National Cancer Prevention Month we're having a charity drive!

This drive will run from February 9th through 22nd, 2022, and we'll be raising money for a great organization whose purpose is to unite and inspire all Canadians to take control of cancer: The Canadian Cancer Society.

This organization improves the lives of all those affected by cancer through world-class research, transformative advocacy, and compassionate support.

The Storyteller

Who is the Storyteller, you ask? A friendly face telling somber stories from those who passed from cancer. You can find them in the Commons near the Town Hall for the duration of this charity drive.

If you didn't complete their quests back in 2016 then, now is your chance! The two quests yield the unique rewards Stardust Trinket and Polyenergy Potion, so help them and hear them out!

If you have already completed those quests, then fear not! They have new stories to tell as well.

To all of you who donated to our Extra Life campaign this year: Thank you. It was a both fun and exhausting, but above all Codename Entertainment raised over $24k USD to help sick and injured kids.

BC SPCA Charity Fundraiser

Some of you may know Georgia, who for the past few years has been BW2's talented artist. Unfortunately, Georgia's dear hedgehog, Sonic, has passed away. Please take a moment to look through adorable pictures of him at the bottom of the blog post, in the Sonic Memorial Gallery.

In his honor, we're raising money for BC SPCA, an organization doing incredible work protecting and enhancing the quality of life for animals in B.C.

Australian Wildfire Charity Fundraiser!

The wildfires in Australia are one of the worst in the country's history, having burned more than the Amazon and California fires combined--16 million acres of land. The losses Australia is experiencing in lives and property are still staggering. Over 30 people have been killed. Hundreds of millions of animals, by some estimates, have perished or are facing starvation or dehydration in devastated habitats. And more than 2,500 homes have been destroyed.

This is why we're raising money for GenerOZity, an Australian based Not-For-Profit Charity that is running a charity drive for the incredible people in the Fire & Rescue services.

Until Jan 27th you can buy the Conservation Kangaroo Pet and Fundraiser Freeze Pops, of which 100% of our proceeds will be donated to GenerOZity.

Terry Fox Charity Drive!

In 1980, Terry Fox set out on the Marathon of Hope to raise money for cancer research. To commemorate his efforts, we're running a Terry Fox Charity Drive.

In honor of Stephen Hawking's recent passing, we're running an ALS Charity drive this weekend.

Until Noon PDT on Monday April 9th, you can buy a unique pet in one of three different packs. All of Codename's share of the proceeds will be donated to ALS Canada, a charity dedicated to supporting Canadians living with ALS and investing in research to make ALS a treatable, not terminal, disease.

At the same time, there's a visitor in the Commons that needs your help with their limited time quest!

Hi Whackers!

November 11th is Remembrance Day, which marks the date when armies stopped fighting in World War I, and is when we take time to remember the men and women who have served, and continue to serve during times of war, conflict and peace. This weekend, we'd like to raise money for the Canadian War Amps, a Canadian registered nonprofit organization, established in 1918 to meet the needs of war amputees. So, for the next few days you can buy Poppy Cupcakes, of which 100% of our proceeds will be donated directly to the Canadian War Amps. Talk to the veteran in the Commons by the Town Hall to learn more about the opportunity.
