• Added skins for Zuczek the Fire-Blooded, Matt Spacewalker and Springy, the Patchwork Plush to the Skin Market.
• Added new options to the Visual Options panel.
• Added an Area Monster Health stat to the stat dropdown.
• Added a new listing to the Ruby Exchange with 3 additional Runic Chests.
• Added a new listing to the Challengers' Warehouse for a Rune Solvent.
• Added a new listing to the Challengers' Warehouse for 2 Epic Trinket Chests.
• Added weekend promo data.
• Added recruit & gear missions for all Tier 7 Crusaders up to this point.

Changes:

What is the Gem Shop?
The Gem Store is a new feature coming to Idle Champions on September 16th, 2020!

What is it?
Oh, I'm glad you asked! It's a new tab in the in-game Shop that features items you can only purchase with gems! Curious how much your next gem familiar costs? Want to see what new skins are available for Champions? Go to the Gem Store!



What is a familiar?
New to familiars, eh? Check out the video below! The bottom line: you'll want some familiars for your adventures, as they help click enemies and level up your Champions! As you're collecting gems, check back often to see when you can unlock your next little buddy!

What are skins?
New to customizing your Champions, eh? Skins are cosmetic upgrades that we offer for many of the Champions. They change the look of the Champion to a whole new rocking outfit! You can swap back and forth between looks for a Champion once you have unlocked them.

A friend says that they can see a skin in the Gem Store that I can't!
Champion skins in the Gem Store are only shown if you've already unlocked the Champion.

What else is in the Gem Shop?
At the moment, we are only featuring Skins, Familiars, and Chests in the gem store. When you purchase a Silver or Gold chest in the Gem Store, you can purchase up to 100 of them at a time (if you have enough gems, of course)!



OK, so you made gem familiars more visible. I have them all.

Feedback Wanted!

For now, check out the Gem Shop, an all-new permanent addition to the game, when the Idle Champions of the Forgotten Realms Third Anniversary launches tomorrow at Noon Pacific Time (UTC-7)! We very much look forward to your feedback on the store, so please let us know what you think in a Community Q&A or feedback post on the Idle Champions Subreddit, a post on the Steam forums, or on the Official Idle Champions Discord!

Wrena’s Skin

While we share some of our upcoming plans for the game, we like to keep some things as surprises. We generally do not announce upcoming weekend promo Golden loot, and we felt this skin fell into the same category, though we appreciate that some players feel the skin is a more major change than we did. In hindsight, we should have handled the release of this skin in a more open fashion.

We also realize that players would have liked to hear from us sooner than the Q&A on Tuesday. We have been discussing the community's reaction to the skin internally and wanted to make sure our follow-up plans were solidified before we made any announcements.

Skins in General

A previous Q&A response had suggested that skins would not affect gameplay. We didn’t mean to imply that the decision had been finalized, and we’re sorry that people feel misled. Going forward, we expect most skins to have an effect on the game, whether via tags or something else entirely. We hope to keep these fair to all players.

Skins in the Challenge Shop

To start, in early August, we will be adding a new rotating item to the Challenge shop, exclusively for skins. As with Golden loot, a different skin will be offered every 2 weeks, as long as there are any you do not own. Initially it will contain 3 all-new skins, with more down the line.

Wrena’s Skin in the Challenge Shop

Until December 2019, Wrena's “The Foul” skin will remain exclusive to those who received it with the weekend chests. Then, it will be added to the pool of skins that can be offered in the Challenge shop.

Future Premium Skins

Future premium skins, except those sold as part of DLC packs, will follow the same model. They will become available in the Challenge shop 5 months after their initial sale.

Regarding Skin Tags

Generally, a Crusader’s new set of tags from an equipped skin count as their real tags (unlike tags applied by formation abilities.) This means they affect mission success, and can allow the use of these Crusaders in objectives where they would not otherwise be available. Note that Crusaders’ skins cannot be changed while they are on a mission.
